A Retirement Home Alternative

An alternative to nursing homes is licensed private home assisted living for your loved one. We believe that our seniors deserve better quality of care in a real home setting. A home setting that they have been used to all their lives.

We understand our seniors have made great contributions to society through their talents and their capabilities. Talents and capabilities that may have diminished, due to memory loss and other challenges.

Now in the winter of their lives, it is our responsibility to contribute to their lives as they have to ours. We feel that institutionalizing our seniors, except under extreme situations, would be contrary to the hopes and dreams they have held in their younger years.

In fact, in a recent survey done on older adults over the age of 70, it has become evident that their greatest fear is to be placed in an institution by their family members when they become older and more frail. The happy condition and emotional improvement of senior residents that have been placed under our care, who came to us from large institutional facilities has contributed in great part to shape our philosophy. We try our best to create an atmosphere of affection and familiarity.

This affection and familiarity is in large measure why our residents feel so good and comfortable about themselves and their surroundings. They are relaxed, content, confident and happy to the highest levels they can be. Whatever problems or challenges your loved one has, we can make their living situations much better. Visit us; we want the opportunity to prove this to you. We provide quality care and assistance to senior residents. Your loved one will be cared for in a nicely decorated home situated in a rural setting complete with a 3 acre lake and large outdoor activity area. Alternatives provides care and assistance from trained caregivers who will help with all daily activities.

Alternatives is owned and operated by Connie Williams. Connie is an RN with over 30 years of geriatric care experience.

3 meals plus 2 daily snacks are provided throughout the day.

Assistance with medications can also be provided.

Caring help and assistance with dressing, grooming, bathing and other daily activities.

No alternative would be worth your family trying to get help in an institutional Assisted-Living facility among 50, 100 or 150 other residents, getting less care and companionship and end up paying higher fees.

When families tour our homes we always hear the comment: “We’d like to move Mom in today”.
